Crochet Llama Wall Hanging Free Pattern

Use 2 strands of yarn. I used orange and yellow.

ch 5, *in the second ch from your hook using just the yellow yarn, do one bobble, use both yarns again and ch 8, repeat from * two more times, ch 3, fasten off and sew onto neck of the llama as pictured to the right.

How to Sew on the Flowers to the Wall Hanging

  1. Twist flower chain so that it looks like this.
  2. Secure flower together by sewing bottom together.
  3. Position flower on llama, and sew onto wall hanging.
  4. Repeat this for the other flowers, and position them wherever you’d like.

How to Embroider the Eyes

  1. Start stitching the eyes on by using black yarn. You’ll make a U shape. Make a line with your thread on the right side above the muzzle.
  2. Then do a line across back to the first line.
  3. After that, do another line down to complete the U shape.
  4. Repeat the same for the other eye.

How to Embroider the Nose and Mouth

  1. Start sewing the nose/mouth by making a v towards the top of the muzzle.
  2. Stitch a line coming down from the center of the V to be where the mouth will be.
  3. Make another V to form the mouth, and fasten off.

How to Create the Bottom Decoration

  1. To make the decoration at the bottom of the wall hanging, start by sl st through the bottom left corner.
  2. Then ch 10.
  3. Sk 6, and sl st in the next st.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 all the way across. You’ll sk 7 st on the very last repeat of this. Then fasten off and weave in ends.

5. To make the fringe, cut 7 strands of yarn about 10 inches each.

6. Then create a U shape in front of one of the chain loops you made.

7. Pull long strands behind the chain loop, and through the U you made. Pull all the way through and tighten to secure it. Repeat steps 7-10 4 more times. I did 3 different colors of fringe.

How to Secure Wall Hanging to the Stick

  1. To secure the wall hanging on your stick. Position the stick at the top of the wall hanging. Thread your needle with yarn, loop it behind the stick, and back up through the wall hanging.
  2. Repeat this all the way across till you’ve secured the entire top of the wall hanging to your stick. Then you can cut another long strand of yarn, tie each end to the stick, and you’ll have a string to hang your finished wall hanging!

Now you are all finished with your crochet Llama wall hanging!
