The Pattern

The Head

Scarf Ruffles (Make 2)

Row 1 (Yellow): Attach yarn to the short end of the completed scarf. Ch 2, then work 3 dc into each of the 3 stitches across the edge. (9)

Fasten off and weave in ends. Repeat on the opposite end of the scarf.

Saddle Blanket

Row 1 (Light Blue): Ch 13. Starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, work 12 sc. (12)

Row 2 (Pink): Ch 1, turn. 12 sc. (12)

Row 3 (White): Ch 1, turn. 12 sc. (12)

Row 4 (Light Blue): Ch 1, turn. 12 sc. (12)

Border (Yellow): Do not turn at the end of Row 4. Ch 1, then sc evenly around the entire perimeter of the blanket.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Assembly Instructions

  • Position the head onto the body, centering carefully.
  • Sew the front legs to the bottom front of the body.
  • Sew the back legs directly behind them.
  • Attach the ears to the top of the head.
  • Attach the tail to the lower back of the body.
  • Sew eyes and mouth with black embroidery thread.
  • Drape the saddle blanket on the back and wrap the scarf around the neck.
  • Place the beret on the head.
