Materials:
– In the yarn weight of your choice – approximately 80 yards, any color
(I used Sugar N’ Cream cotton yarn for the yellow peep, Hobby Lobby I Love this Cotton for the green peep, and Red Heart Super Saver for the pink peep)
– Suggested hook size: 3.5mm
– 3 x 6mm safety eyes
My peeps measure approximately 5” tall when made with the above materials.
You can use any weight yarn or thread that you are comfortable using. You do not need to use what I used, just adjust your hook size accordingly.

R1: Ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook, 8 sc, 3 sc in last ch. Working on the other side of the chain, 8 sc, sc inc x 1 (22)

Place safety eyes between rows 18 & 19, 6 sts apart.
Place a 3rd safety eye for nose between rows 16 & 17.
Stuff firmly.
Left Ear
R1: 9 sc, then in next st, reach across to the corresponding st on the opposite side, and sc these two stitches together.
R2: Turn and continue working the ear in a circle: sc inc x 1, 2 sc, sc inc x 3, 3 sc, sc inc x 1. (15)
Skip the sc you placed in the center to stitch the head together and continue working around the ear. R3-6: 15 sc (15)
R7: (3 sc, sc dec) x3 (12)
R8: (2sc, sc dec) x3 (9)
R9: (1 sc, sc dec) x3 (6)
Stuff firmly, fasten off and close up top of ear.
Right Ear
R1: Join yarn to middle stitch, 10 sc, then sc again across the center st to secure the head closure. (10)
R2: sc inc x 1, 2 sc, sc inc x 3, 3 sc, sc inc x 1 (15) Again skip the middle stitch and continue around the ear.
R3-6: 15 sc (15)
R7: (3 sc, sc dec) x3 (12)
R8: (2 sc, sc dec) x3 (9)
R9: (1 sc, sc dec) x3 (6)
Stuff firmly, fasten off and close up top of ear.
