R2: sc 4 (4 sts)
Finish off leaving a long tail for sewing. Position the beak centered between the eyes and pin it into place with straight pins so that it doesn’t shift around while you are sewing it on. Sew the beak to the head using the whipstitch.

Loosely ch 10, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc 1, *3 dc in next ch, sl st 1* rep 3 times, 3 dc in next ch, sc 1 in last ch
Finish off leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the comb into place using straight pins. The front of the comb should be sewn onto R5 of the front of the head and stretched back to R5 of the back of the head. Sew the bottom of the comb to the head. When you are finished, make a knot to secure and weave the remaining yarn tails into the head.

Ch 4, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, make 1 sl st in each of the 3 chs (3 sts)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the back of the legs over R3 and 4 of the body, then bring your yarn to the top edge of the leg and sew down a couple of the stitches of the leg to R4 of the body. When you are finished, weave both the sewing tail and the starting tail to the back of the body so that both tails come out of the same stitch. Knot the two ends together, then weave the remaining tails into the body to finish.
