Materials:
– 20 gr. light blue superfine fingering cotton yarn. (crochet needle 2,5)
– 20 gr. blue superfine fingering cotton yarn.
– 10 gr. orange superfine cotton yarn
– 10 gr. white superfine fingering cotton yarn.
– a long thread of turquois superfine fingering yarn.
– a little piece of white felt
– a thread of black embroidery yarn.
Chenille thread.
– 1 black safety eye size 10 mm
– Crochet needle size 2.5 Textile glue
– Synthetic Poly filling
– Pins , scissors, needles.
Stitches used in this project
Double adjustable ring, chain stitch, single crochet, single crochet through back loops only, slip stitches, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet and increase and decrease.
About the pattern
This pattern works in continuous spiral round; do not join rounds unless otherwise stated. Mark the first stitch of each round by using a stitchMmarker or a piece of yarn between two stitches.

Amigurumi Blue Owl Free Pattern
Eye patch
Start with light blue yarn. To avoid a hole at the beginning of the body, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc. in each stitch from last round (12 sc) Change color to Rnd 3: [1 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 6 times (18 sc)
Rnd 4: [1 sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch] repeat 6 times (24 sc)
Rnd 5: [1 sc in next 3 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch]repeat 6 times (30 sc)
End with a slip stitch. Cut the yarn with scissors but leave a long enough tail. Make two eye patches. Take the piece of white felt and cut it 2 (equal) circles with a diameter of 2 cm
Right eye
Take the piece of felt and cut slightly off center a little cross in the piece of felt . Make a little hole in the piece of felt. Insert the 10 mm safety eyelet through the hole. Insert the stem then between row 2 and 3 of the first light blue eye patch. Put the eye down until further notice.
Left eye
Take the second piece of felt and a needle. Split the black embroidery thread. Embroider a half loop in the center of the white felt patch. Grab the HT2 textile glue and glue the felt patch at left blue eye patch. Put the eye patch down until further notice.
Body
Start at the top of the body with blue yarn. To avoid a hole at the beginning of the body, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.

Place the eye patch with the eyelet between 14 and 15, do not secure it yet.
Pin the left eye patch also on the owl’s head to see if both eyes are in the right place. (see picture) The upper edge of the patch should be on tour 9/10 and the bottom of the patch should be on tour 18/19. To be sure fill the head temporarily to see how it is with eyes on it. If you are sure of the correct position of the eyelet, then secure it with the washer.

Rnd 28: [5 sc, dec. 1 sc in next 2 Sc] repeat 6 times (36 sc)
Rnd 29: 36 sc.
Rnd 30: [4 sc, dec. 1 sc in next 2 Sc] repeat 6 times (30 sc)
Rnd 31: 30 sc.
Rnd 32: 30 sc. Fill with poly fill.
Rnd 33: [3 sc, dec. 1 sc in next 2 Sc] repeat 6 times (24 sc)

Stuff the head a little bit more. Make a knot, cut the yarn with scissors but leave a long enough tail. Thread the yarn end through a yarn needle and gather the final stitches by weaving the needle through the front loop of each stitch around the gap. Pull tightly to close and fasten off. Take the left eye patch and sew it on with the left over light blue yarn. See pictures.
Beak
Start with orange cotton yarn. To avoid a hole at the beginning of the body, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: 4 single crochet stitches (4 sc)
Rnd 2: [1 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (6 sc)
Rnd 3: [2 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (8 sc)
Rnd 4: [3 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (10 sc)
End with a slip stitch. Cut the yarn with scissors but leave a long enough tail.
Fill the beak. Pin it on rnd. 15 till 19 of the body, directly under the eyes and sew it on with the leftover yarn.
Ears (make 2)
Use light blue cotton yarn. Start at the top of the ear. To avoid a hole, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches (6 sc)
Rnd 2: [2 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (8 sc)
Rnd 3: [3 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (10 sc)
Rnd 4: [4 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (12 sc)
Rdn 5: [1 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 6 times (18 sc)
Fasten off, leave a long enough tail. Fold the ear, make it flat and shape it a bit round. Pin the ears on to side of the head, on rnd. 8 and 9 and sew them on with the leftover yarn. Fasten off.
Wings (make 2)
Use blue cotton yarn. To avoid a hole, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc. in each stitch from last round (12 sc)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 6 times (18 sc)
Rnd 4: [1 sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch] repeat 6 times (24 sc)
Rnd 5: [1 sc in next 3 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch]repeat 6 times (30 sc)
Rnd 6: [1 sc in next 4 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch] repeat 6 times (36 sc)
Rnd 7: 1 hdc. in sc. 1/ 1 dc. in sc. 2/2 tr. in sc. 3/1 tr, 1 dtr, 1 tr. in sc. 4/ 2 tr. in sc 5/ dc in sc. 6/ hdc in sc. 7/ End with a slipstitch in sc. 8.
Fasten off, leave a long enough tail. Pin the wings on the side of the body, on rnd. 17 till 28. Sew on the wings with the left over yarn. Don’t sew the pointy end of the wing, leave it loose so you can spread the wings a bit.
Tail
Use light blue cotton yarn. To avoid a hole, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.
Part 1

Rnd 2: 2 sc. in each stitch from last round (12 sc)
Rnd 3: 12 sc.
Rnd 4: 12 sc.

End with a slip stitch and fasten off.
Part 2
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches (6 sc)

Paws (make 2)
Use orange cotton yarn. To avoid a hole, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc. in each stitch from last round (12 sc)
Rnd 3: 12 sc.
Rnd 4: 12 sc.
Rnd 5: [2sc, dec. 1 sc in next 2 Sc] repeat 3 times (9 sc)
Rnd 6: 9 sc.
Rnd 7: 9 sc.
Rnd 8: 9 sc. End with al sl.st.
Fasten off, leave a long enough tail. Take a piece of 5 cm (2 inch) chenille thread. Bent the thread in half and put it in to your first paw. The curved part touches the inside of rnd. 1 of the paw. Cut of the chenille that protrudes at the top of the paw. Repeat this process with paw 2.
Do not fill the paws. Pin the paws under the body, from rnd. 32 till 34. See if the paws are standing straight under the body and sew them on. Fasten off.
Take the long thread of turquoise yarn and a embroidery needle. Emboider cross_stitches on the belly of the owl. Start at rnd. 21 and end at rnd 31. Leave 1 rnd, in between the embroidered rounds. See picture.
