Finished Size: Carriage approximately 5.5 inches tall.

Materials

• Sport or DK weight cotton yarn in warm cream, soft pink, blush pink, ivory, and pastel colors for accessories.
• 2.25 mm crochet hook for amigurumi pieces.
• 2.75 mm crochet hook for the meadow base.
• Fiberfill stuffing.
• 6 mm black safety eyes.

Pattern

Meadow Base

Ch 31. Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across, 4 sc in last ch. Turn and sc across the other side, 3 sc in last ch. Join with sl st. 64 sts.

Continue rounds as per the original design until the desired size is reached.

Cottage Body

Ch 21. Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc to end, 4 sc in last ch, sc to end. 44 sts.

Continue rounds as per the original design until the desired height is achieved.

Roof

With soft pink, create a dome shape with scalloped edges to fit on top of the cottage body.

Swan Neck and Head

Assembly

Attach the swan neck to the front of the carriage body. Sew the roof on top securely.

NOTES –
– Slowly stuff as you go, you want it to be firm but not stretched. I recommend stuffing the body before crocheting the neck.

– The body and head will be made as one piece. I recommend tight stitches and firm stuffing to help avoid a wobbly neck.

Cheeks – With your tapestry needle and yarn for cheeks pass through one stitch on either side of your beak just under the eyes.

(Be sure to stuff the neck and shoulders firmly as you go. This will keep the neck sturdy.)
