With hot silicone, wrap brown yarn around the bottom part of the wire.

With hot silicone and orange yarn, wrap several turns around the tip of the wire to create the wick effect.

Cupcake Assembly
COLOR WHITE
With white thread, sew the cupcake to Snoopy’s arms.

Sewing the Hat to the Head
In order to keep the top of the hat nice and flat, we will cut out a circle of cardboard the same size as the top of the hat and place it in the hat so that it fits snugly. You can use any kind of cardboard for this. Once you have done this, stuff the hat lightly.

Weave the finishing tail over to the inside edge of the hat so that the tail comes up between R14 and 15 of the hat. We will use this tail to sew the hat to the snowman’s head.

Position the hat onto your snowman’s head any way that you like. I placed mine at an angle. Pin it into place using straight pins to keep it from shifting around while we sew it on.
Using the long tail we left and our tapestry needle, sew it to the head like this: 
Step 1: Go over one stitch on the hat and then pull your needle down through the hat and through a stitch of the head. 
Step 2: Pull your needle up through the hat and repeat step 1. Repeat steps 1-2 all the way around until the hat is sewn on. When finished, make a knot to secure the sewing and weave the remaining tail into the head.

Holly Berry Leaves (Make 2 Using Green Yarn)

Ch 4, in the 2^nd ch from the hook, make 3 sc sts, make 1 sl st in each of the next 2 chs, now rotate your work 180 degrees and work in the front loops of the ch, starting in the first ch, make 1 sl st in each of the next 2 chs, make 3 sc sts in the last ch (10 sts). This is called starting your work with a foundation chain and is a great way to start a piece you want to be more oval than round. After crocheting through the top loops of the chain, you turn your work upside down so that the sts you just crocheted are at the bottom and the front/bottom loops of the chain are now at the top. These are the sts you will now work into. Once you’re at the end of the row, the first round is complete! Now you just continue as you normally would working in the round. Watch this video to learn how to crochet into a foundation chain.
Finish off neatly using the invisible finish technique. 

Adding the Berries
To add the little holly berries, take three red premade pom poms (0.5 in/1.27 cm in size) and glue them to the side of the hat using fabric glue.
Once the glue has dried, sew the bottoms of the leaves to the side of the hat nestled in between the pom poms.. Now knot the two tails together to secure them and weave the tails into the hat again to finish.

Stocking Cap (Using Any Color of Yarn)
Note: Hat is worked entirely in hdc sts. If you tend to crochet very loosely when you make hdc sts then please consider going down a hook size or two to compensate for the size difference.

Hat band is worked in rows instead of rounds so we will ch 1, and turn at the end of each row. The hat band is also worked entirely in the BLO (back loops only) using sc sts.

Before finishing off, wrap the band around the hat to make sure it is the correct length for your hat. You may need to make it shorter or longer than mine. Finish off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Join the two short ends of the band together and sew them together using the whipstitch. You now have a circular band.

Pom Pom (Using Any Color of Yarn)
I made my pom pom using a mini 2.5 inch pom pom maker. There are many different ways to make pom poms, including with cardboard or with a dinner fork. Below are links to video tutorials for each of these methods.
When complete, sew the pom pom to the top of the hat. To do this, pull one of the tails from the pom pom through the top center of the hatand then pull the second tail from the pom pom through the center of the hat one stitch over from the first tail.
Pull the two tails tight then on the inside of your hat, knot them together to secure the pom pom to the hat. Cut the ends to finish.
Place the hat on your snowman and you’re done!

Assembly:
1- Using black crochet thread, stitch happy eyes onto the front panel between rows 7-8. The eyes should be 3 sts in from each side and each eye will span about 4 sts wide and 1 st high. Use black sewing thread and a sewing needle to stitch them in place. 
2- Using pink yarn, stitch a nose between the eyes at row 6, spanning 2 sts. Stitch around the sts several times to create a small bump.
3- Using black crochet thread, stitch a mouth onto the front body panel spanning two sts diagonally over row 4.
4- Stack the panels as follows: back panel on bottom, front panel in the middle, hair on top. Make sure all the yarn ends of the panels are facing inward so that they are hidden. Match up all rows with the front/right side facing you. Starting near the top on the left side of the bun, begin attaching the panels together by inserting your hook through all three panels and single crocheting around the outside edge of the panels starting in grey (see photos below). Once you’ve crocheted down to the edge of the hair, switch to MC yarn. Now you will be crocheting through only two panels (the front and back). Continue crocheting down around the bottom and part way up the other side, switching back to grey when you reach the hair on the other side; you will now be crocheting through three panels again! Crochet up to the base of the bun. Stop here and stuff. Insert stuffing into the space between the front and back panels (i.e. NOT the space between the hair and front panel). For the Green/Yellow hat: Work 5 rows in green, then 5 rows in yellow, then 5 rows in green.
For the Pink Striped hat: Alternate working 3 rows in dark pink and 3 rows in light pink.
For the multicolour hat: Work 2 rows of each colour.

Optional Hat Trim:
Turn hat so the pointed end is downward. Insert your hook into the side of the hat where the two panels are joined and join yarn.
Row 1: Sc in each ch around and work an inc at each join (42 sts), join with a slst, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: *Sc, sk 2 sts, 5 dc into the next st, sk 2 sts, repeat from * 6 more times, slst to beginning st.
Tie off. Weave ends. Fold the brim upwards onto the hat. Stitch down in a couple of places to secure if needed.
Move on to assembly below!

Assembly:
1- Using contrasting colour yarn, stitch the three curls onto the middle of the front panel between rows 19 and 20. When laying flat, the curls should extend down below the hairline by 4 or 5 rows. Weave ends.
2- Insert 9mm safety eyes into the front panel between rows 7 and 8 with approximately 9 or 10 sts between them.
3- With a tapestry needle and colour “Old Rose”, stitch a nose between the eyes at row 6.
4- With black crochet thread or fine weight yarn, stitch a mouth at row 4 by stitching diagonally across two stitches.
5- With black crochet thread or fine weight yarn, stitch eyebrows above each eye by stitching diagonally over rows 10-12.
6- Add rosy cheeks if desired using pink yarn, or apply blush/pastel chalk.
7- Place both panels together, matching up all rows and with the front facing you. Starting near the top on the left side, begin attaching the panels together by inserting your hook through both panels and single crocheting around the outside edge of the panels starting in contrasting colour. Switch to main colour when you reach the skin. Crochet around, switching back to contrasting colour for the hair when needed. When only the top remains open, stuff firmly. Continue crocheting around and close with an invisible join. Weave ends.
8- Stitch ears to either side of the face at rows 6-10 (i.e. just below where the hair starts). Weave ends.
9- Place hat on elf and adjust curls so that they curl up over the brim of the hat. Stitch hat in place in a few places around (or pin in place if you don’t want to permanently attach the hat).
10- Attach a hanging loop to the top of the hat.

Assembly:
1- Insert 10mm safety eyes into the front panel between rows 13-14. The eyes should be approximately 6 sts in from each side, with approximately 5 sts between them.
2- Stack the panels as follows: back panel on bottom, front panel in the middle, beard on top. Make sure all the yarn ends of the panels are facing inward so that they are hidden. Match up all rows with the front/right side facing you. The bottom of the side burns/row 16 of the beard should line up with the stitch markers at row 8 (see photos below). Starting near the top of the head on the left side, begin attaching the panels together by inserting your hook through the two panels and single crocheting around the outside edge of the panels starting in MC. Once you’ve crocheted down to the top edge of the sideburn, switch to white yarn. Now you will be crocheting through all three panels (the sideburn, the front, and the back). Continue crocheting down the sideburn. Once you reach the main part of the beard, you will switch to MC and resume crocheting in the two panels only. Crochet down around the bottom and part way up the other side, switching back to white when you reach the sideburn on the other side; you will now be crocheting through three panels again! Crochet up the sideburn. Switch back to MC after the sideburn. Now you are back to crocheting in two panels only. Stop here and stuff. Continue crocheting up and around the head, stuffing as you go. Place the front ear panel on top of the back ear panel and crochet the two pieces together by crocheting around the two pieces in brown, joining them. Stuff lightly when you’ve crocheted about two-thirds of the way around. Join with a slst to first st and tie off. Poke the yarn tail back inside.

Antlers (make 4):
Using 3.25mm hook and using dark brown yarn.
Row 1: Ch 2, Sc 1 (1 st)
Rows 2-6: Sc 1 (1 st)
Row 7: Inc (2 sts)
Row 8: In first st only (leave other st unworked), sc 1 (1 st)
Rows 9-11: Sc 1 (1 st)
Tie off. Rejoin yarn in the unworked st of row 7 and repeat rows 8-11. Tie off.
Repeat all of the above for the back panel. Weave in ends and trim them (so they don’t get in the way while joining). Place both panels together and sc around to join. You don’t need to stuff the antlers (there’s really no space to insert stuffing anyway!)
Repeat all of the above for the second antler.

Assembly:
Step 1: Face
First, we need to attach and stitch on our facial features to the front panel.
Stitch on the nose at the base of the brown stripe on the face.
Finally, stitch on a little mouth.

Step 2: Body, Ears and Antlers
Here are the pieces you should now have at this step.
Cut off two lengths of brown yarn approximately 30cm/12″ long each and set them aside for later.
Place the two panels together, matching up all sides and colours.

Make sure the front of Rudolph is facing you as you crochet around the outside.
Starting on the left side, in the middle where the white section starts, begin attaching the panels together by single crocheting around the outside of the panels starting in white.

Be sure to crochet loosely around so that the edge keeps it’s nice curve!
Crochet down and around the bottom and up the other side; switch to brown yarn where appropriate.
Stop after two or three stitches and pull up a loop.
Now we will attach the first ear and antler. The ear will overlap the antler slightly; feel free to stitch these together first before stitching them between the panels if it’s easier for you.

With your tapestry needle and a length of yarn that you set aside earlier, place the ear and the antler between the panels just to the right of the end of the last row of the panels. Stitch in place by stitching through all three pieces, the back panel, the ear/antler and the front panel. Once in place, tie a knot in the yarn tails and hide them between the panels.

Continue crocheting around. When you get to the ear/antler, sc in the stitches of the front panel only. This section is already sewn shut so it’s just for looks!
Stuff your ornament firmly now!

Continue crocheting both panels together as normal once past the antler, topping up stuffing as you go.
Place and stitch on the second antler and ear the same way you did for the first.
Top up stuffing. Use the back of your crochet hook to even out the stuffing and keep the shape nice and round.
When you are satisfied with the stuffing, close with a slst to first st. Tie off. With your tapestry needle, poke the yarn tail back inside the piece. Add the loop for hanging, and you’re done!
