(you may need to chain more or less as long as it fits snugly around your scroll).

• Pin eyes and beak in place. When happy with the position, sew into place.

• OR if NOT making graduation owl, pin the TWO ears into position, and sew into place.
• Sew wings to side of body.
• Sew feet to bottom of body (leaving toes visible).

About the pattern

Amigurumi Blue Owl Free Pattern

Eye patch

Start with light blue yarn. To avoid a hole at the beginning of the body, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc. in each stitch from last round (12 sc) Change color to Rnd 3:  [1 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 6 times (18 sc)
Rnd 4: [1 sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch] repeat 6 times (24 sc)
Rnd 5: [1 sc in next 3 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch]repeat 6 times (30 sc)
End with a slip stitch. Cut the yarn with scissors but leave a long enough tail. Make two eye patches. Take the piece of white felt and cut it 2 (equal) circles with a diameter of 2 cm

Right eye
Take the piece of felt and cut slightly off center a little cross in the piece of felt . Make a little hole in the piece of felt. Insert the 10 mm safety eyelet through the hole. Insert the stem then between row 2 and 3 of the first light blue eye patch. Put the eye down until further notice.

Left eye

Take the second piece of felt and a needle. Split the black embroidery thread. Embroider a half loop in the center of the white felt patch. Grab the HT2 textile glue and glue the felt patch at left blue eye patch. Put the eye patch down until further notice.

Body
Start at the top of the body with blue yarn. To avoid a hole at the beginning of the body, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.

If you are sure of the correct position of the eyelet, then secure it with the washer.

Beak
Start with orange cotton yarn. To avoid a hole at the beginning of the body, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: 4 single crochet stitches (4 sc)
Rnd 2: [1 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (6 sc)
Rnd 3: [2 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (8 sc)

End with a slip stitch. Cut the yarn with scissors but leave a long enough tail.
Fill the beak. Pin it on rnd. 15 till 19 of the body, directly under the eyes and sew it on with the leftover yarn.

Ears (make 2)
Use light blue cotton yarn. Start at the top of the ear. To avoid a hole, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches (6 sc)
Rnd 2: [2 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (8 sc)
Rnd 3: [3 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 2 times (10 sc)

Rnd 4: 12 sc.
Rnd 5: [2sc, dec. 1 sc in next 2 Sc] repeat 3 times (9 sc)
Rnd 6: 9 sc.
Rnd 7: 9 sc.
Rnd 8: 9 sc. End with al sl.st.
Fasten off, leave a long enough tail. Take a piece of 5 cm (2 inch) chenille thread. Bent the thread in half and put it in to your first paw. The curved part touches the inside of rnd. 1 of the paw. Cut of the chenille that protrudes at the top of the paw. Repeat this process with paw 2.
Do not fill the paws. Pin the paws under the body, from rnd. 32 till 34. See if the paws are standing straight under the body and sew them on. Fasten off.
Take the long thread of turquoise yarn and a embroidery needle. Emboider cross_stitches on the belly of the owl. Start at rnd. 21 and end at rnd 31. Leave 1 rnd, in between the embroidered rounds. See picture.
