Ch3, (counts as 1st dc) then place 4 more dc around the first dc post (from the top – down) ch1, (now working UP the 2nd post (which is the other half of the scale) work 5dc (from the bottom of the post to top). Sl.st between the next set of 2 posts (this will anchor your scale down). You now have one complete scale !!&nbsp;<br>Working in the NEXT set of 2 posts, place 5dc around the first dc post, ch1, rotate your work around to gain easier access to the 2nd post, and place 5 dc around the 2nd post (working from the bottom to the top). 2 scales complete !!&nbsp;<br>3. (inc. row) ch3, then work 1 dc into the same st. ch1, work 2 dc into the centre of the scale. <p class="has-text-align-left"><strong>Eye patch</strong><br><br>Start with light blue yarn. To avoid a hole at the beginning of the body, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring.<br>Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches (6 sc)<br>Rnd 2:&nbsp;2 sc. in each stitch from last round (12 sc) Change color to Rnd 3:&nbsp; [1 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] repeat 6 times (18 sc)<br>Rnd 4:&nbsp;[1 sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch] repeat 6 times (24 sc)<br>Rnd 5:&nbsp;[1 sc in next 3 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch]repeat 6 times (30 sc)<br>End with a slip stitch. Cut the yarn with scissors but leave a long enough tail. Make two eye patches. Take the piece of white felt and cut it 2 (equal) circles with a diameter of 2 cm</p>



<p class="has-text-align-left"><strong>Right eye </strong><br>Take the piece of felt and cut slightly off center a little cross in the piece of felt . Make a little hole in the piece of felt. Insert the 10 mm safety eyelet through the hole. Insert the stem then between row 2 and 3 of the first light blue eye patch. Put the eye down until further notice.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-left"><strong>Left eye</strong><br><br>Take the second piece of felt and a needle. Split the black embroidery thread. End with al sl.st.<br>Fasten off, leave a long enough tail. Take a piece of 5 cm (2 inch) chenille thread. Bent the thread in half and put it in to your first paw. The curved part touches the inside of rnd. 1 of the paw. Cut of the chenille that protrudes at the top of the paw. Repeat this process with paw 2.<br>Do not fill the paws. Pin the paws under the body, from rnd. 32 till 34. See if the paws are standing straight under the body and sew them on. Fasten off.<br>Take the long thread of turquoise yarn and a embroidery needle. Emboider cross_stitches on the belly of the owl. Start at rnd. 21 and end at rnd 31. Leave 1 rnd, in between the embroidered rounds. See picture.</p>
